[Public-List] Chainplate cracks

Zowie!  I just got my chain plates (and a bunch of bronze parts) back from
the acid strip place and all but 1 are bent and 5 of 7 have hairline cracks;
mostly about where they go thru the deck.  I don't know weather to feel
lucky the mast stayed up or confident that the chain plates are over
designed (I guess both).  It least I now have an excuse to have new ones
made and cut down the old ones to use as backer plates.
