[Public-List] Cockpit Drain Seacocks

Hi Roger - as usual you make sense.

The part of the hull astern of the rudder and above the waterline is  
called the 'counter'.
In the days of wooden yachts the central structural member in the  
counter was called the 'horn timber'.

Ah wooden boats. How casually I shifted to that topic.  Just this  
afternoon I booked the truck to bring TOUCH WOOD home on the final leg  
of her return.  She will be here in few weeks.   I'll weep for joy,  
then weep for panic.  She needs a lot of work...
