I don't know if Michael means just cooled or frozen. At the beginning of a  
cruise 90% of what goes into the ice box is frozen rock solid. You'd be  
surprised what can be frozen and still tastes good  when thawed--any  
precooked rice or pasta dish, for example, soups, drinks of all sorts. Some  of 
these items can be stored unfrozen, but the idea here is to cool the ice box  
with icelike items. You are going to have to store them anyway, so why not 
make  them work for you?
