I'm pretty sure that's the one I have (Raytheon?) and it 
is plenty powerful. You'll need to get the optional 
extension, they come in different lengths. I think I use 
the 6" one. At least, that's how I installed mine to avoid 
drilling the mounting hole through the locker hatch.

I use it pretty much exclusively when motoring, though. It 
has some trouble anticipating getting knocked off course 
when the bow gets whacked by a big sea. I don't think 
that's a power issue.
