Suncor uses closed barrel ss turnbuckles with, egad - lock nuts

I have seen several failures around our marina with that 'closed barrel ss 
turnbuckles crap. One should only use bronze open barrel turnbuckles on ss 
terminals as the bronze somewhat lubricates and goes not gall. And pins are 
a much better way of ensuring the turnbuckle doesn't back off, as opposed to 
nuts.
