[Public-List] Engine question - remedy

Hi Gord,

It can be one of three problems.

1. Linkage issue, cable is moving the clamp mount, which either needs 
tightening or replacement - neither are a big deal;

2. Linkage is in need of adjustment - is not fully engaging in Fwd & 
Reverse - usually with this problem it will engage in one direction but not 
the other;

3. Clutch is slipping. To remedy, and it's been a while since I did one, you 
need to open the top plate of the transmission - PM me and send your 
personal phone number as it is a somewhat long description - I have 
unlimited N.A. calling (except Alaska & Hawaii).

4. The ugly, transmission clutch plate and or pads are shot and it needs to 
be removed for repair - likely not the problem, step #3 will reveal whether 
it is.

Triage the problem, it is likely the first 2 but could be #3.

I hope it ain't #4.
