     I have a 2 burner propane camp stove that is designed to have a one pound cylinder hung off the back.  It has a pressure regulator right where the bottle screws on so , yes , I have purchased a hose with the appropriate fittings to screw onto the regulator at one end and the left-hand thread to connect to a 20 pound BBQ tank at the other.
Look for this at any store that carries a good supply of camping equipment.
