I use a two-burner Coleman propane stove with the little 1 pound bottles. Bottles that are not in use get stored in the BBQ, which hangs over the stern. Very hot, very simple, fairly cheap. Plus you can move the stove to the cockpit when it's too hot to cook down below.
The downside is that the lid to the stove blocks access to the plates and cutlery so you have to plan the meal completely before you turn on the stove. And it just feels like you're camping, rather than yachting.
