[Public-List] Mast step-Liner boats

Since 609 is now getting a refit before the adventure starts again I am
trying to repair and upgrade.i have noticed that there is 1/2 inch clearance
at the door to the v berth that is not there when the mast is up.. Could
this all be from soft core under the step? as I am doing other deck work
this would be the time to fix this. Has anyone with a liner boat seen this
much difference and was it all in the core.
