[Public-List] Atomic 4 mechanic?

What is the carb supposed to look like on the inside. It seemed like there
was a film and some black specks but I don't know what it is supposed to
look like. And yes, this is the first time it has been run this year.

I don'k know bout you guys but this sounds like junk in the carb. Is
this one of the 1st times you have run the boat this season?
It is early in the season & debris can easily accumulate then clog the
carb leading to the 1st scenario and ending in the non starting of the
engine.
I'd suggest pulling the the fuel line at the carb and placing in a glass
jar (turn the engine over 2x) to check for free flow the pull the carb &
do a complete cleaning with carb & choke cleaner.
Then it should start!
