Greg,

The person to talk to regarding mast rake is Reed Beigel.  He can tell  
you the exact length for the Headstay and the amount of prebend.  He  
gave a rig tune presentation at the racing seminar a couple of years  
ago and he was very precise regarding this adjustment.

I retuned my mast afterwards and discovered my headstay was 4+ inches  
to short.  I adjusted to his dimension and it was like a different  
boat going up wind it made a huge difference in both feel and  
performance against the class.

I looked at your numbers for the cap shrouds.  I think 850 is to  
tight.  this put a lot of additional stress on the boat that isn't  
necessary  Reed's comments were that he did not think tension was all  
that important as long as the rig was straight on both tacks. I have  
sailed my boat with 800, 600, 450 and have not notced any significant  
performance change.  so I go with 450 to reduce the stress on the rig,  
beam, hull structure.
