[Public-List] soylent stay or baby stay which is best setup for a storm sail

Have a hanked on sail and was considering adding a 

soylent stay -- halyard connection within 18 inches of the mast top

or

baby stay -- halyard connection at the spreaders

would like to use the sail for ocean sailing so for a storm sail which one would be the better choice

On a side note 3 more large projects
Ripping out the intergral water tank for flex tanks  and extra storage
Installing the kersone storve
Installing alum toe rail (have to find out where to get it here in Canada)
