Although not critical, bits used to drill SS are ground to a different
angle than those used for mild steel, usually 135 vs 118 degrees. If
you're only doing a few holes, its probably not worth the time or
expense to buy new drills.

Even with a drill press, you should use a prick punch to mark your hole
center first to keep the drill from wandering. If you have trouble with
your drill cutting, sharpen it.
