What is the number of your boat?  The newer liner boats require more modification to install a Yanmar.  The pan under the engine is too shallow for the engine.  The Beta isn't as deep and makes for a good conversion.  I installed a Yanmar in 240, but would not want to do it in a liner boat.  If I were doing a change today I would look very closely at Beta in preference to Yanmar.  That said I like Yanmars and am happy with their engines.
