If your standpipe is like mine the bronze pipe is internal and the end
plates also bronze, the outer shell is good old 3in copper drain pipe.  My
muffler also weeped  at the lower end plate and copper pipe.  a good
acetalyne welder should be able to repair/replace the shell.
