[Public-List] soldering vs. crimping

Hi Gordon,
Can you tell me what happened to the soldered wire joints?? I do crimp most of them but some stuff works better if soldering is applied.
I would have thought that soldering is fairly resistant - e.g. the radios and instruments have all soldered boards and work for decades??!!!

Years ago, after experience with shoreside electronic circuits, I 
re-wired another boat, using solder. Big mistake. Crimp, don't solder
