Dear Richard and Partner,Elyse and I are sorry the way we approach - but we have an Alberg 30, LADY HERON 297 that we started to recondition in our second owners year of spring 2009 (18 major projects like holding tank, solar panel, GPS Standard Horizon, complete new wires and electrical panel, electric powered anchor roller, complete inside mold removal and painting, re-manufacturing of tiller to rudder point attachment etc. etc.).The reason for this was to prepare the A-30 for a potential travel to the south or may-be one day for a circumnavigation. We then traveled 72 days in Canada (St-Lawrence river, Lake Ontario, Trent-Severn waterway, Georgian Bay, Lake Huron, Lake Erie and back) to test our Lady Heron - and the 1,800 nm were a complete success. However, our feeling was - if you need stuff (food, water, security equipment, dinghy, clothing etc.) for a 25 or 30 day passage, and you want to live on board for a few years, the A-30 starts to look a bit small for that (for 2 persons). Without more knowledge and experience, we began to look at larger boats like the Alberg or Tajana 37.Now that we read you are on the way since 2005, we are certainly impressed and would like to find out if you could send us some pictures/information on how your A-30 is equipped and has transferred, how many days were your longest transfers and how do you feel about your way-of-living (limited or not at all). This would help us to decide what to do and how to plan such an adventure. We thank you in advance for your respond.Bruno & ElyseLady Heron 297
