Re wiring your Alberg is something you can do yourself. Having designed
and rebuilt a number of television complex's in my previous life I have
learned a few things. First remove all existing wiring, and discard. On
rewiring use two wire marine grade cable (positive negative) for all
circuits DO NOT looping negatives . Next draw each circuit separately on
a sheet of paper first as an electrical circuit then as a physical one, by
drawing the hull shape and then wire location, and if you are comfortable
do a system drawing on a single sheet as well. This is like a flow chart
start at the battery to disconnect to fuse panel to switch to individual
fuse to fixture if you want number each wire when there is a connection
and log these as a from - too chart. This will allow you to find errors
and omissions before you start. Looping to other fixtures is ok but not
branching to another fixture, for this use a terminal block that has built
in bridge connection at a common point or location. Use a crimper that
creates a dimple not one that flattens the connector, crimp on the
opposite side to the connector seam, do not solder these crimps, heat
shrink, label, and number each circuit, finish all connections from the
end fixture back to the panel. Test with a small battery if you want to,
do this for each circuit until complete, you will use lots of tie wraps so
buy then by the hundreds.
