Hi Bill,
Just got back from our boat. The pins for the forestay and back stay are both 1/2" X 1 1/4" (length not including the head of the pin). The main upper shrouds on our boat were installed with a swaged eye over a thimble at the top of the mast. The swaged loop was formed through a hole in an aluminum tang bolted to the top of the mast. That hole is 1/2" in diameter and the tangs are 3/16" thick. The thimble carries the load on the lower edge of the hole. The fore and aft lowers are pinned with 3/8" X 1" (length not inluding the head of the pin) stainless pins through a 3/16" metal triangle that swivles on another 3/16" tang bolted to the mast in conjunction with the spreader bases.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Hugh
