[Public-List] Diesel

Mine wasnt laid up quite as long but I went through something similar. Change
the oil, impeller and let it rip. I would check the bottom of the tank for
debris and expect a few clogged fuel filters, hopefully the tank isnt full of
algae. Inspect the fuel lines, dont forget the return to the tank, mine was bad.
Go over the battery cables and ends too, if too corroded they can overhead.
Good luck!
Chris

Spin it with the hand crank a bunch (using the decompression lever) to get
some lube oil back where it belongs. Keep your face away from the handle.
Trust me on this. Also check the foam air filter. It degrades over time. The
cooling water impellors get brittle over time-I'd check it (or them, I'm not
sure if the GM series has integral fresh water cooling) too.
