[Public-List] Compasss suggestions?

The original Danforth compass on my boat had an unfortunate encounter with a winch handle several years ago, and I replaced it with a cheaper Saturn compass in a safer location.  That compass recently expelled all its fluid & died as well.  Any suggestions on what to buy or what to avoid in a replacement?  I have been leaning toward a Ritchie "Helmsman" but it looks like they may be discontinued (albeit still available).
