Thanks guys glad I brought this up, while this family friend knows a ton about boats I still like to search out for the real truth. The rudders I see they have a piece of round stock built into the rudder is this stainless or is it Bronze?? I assume stainless since bronze is more money I read back then. The shoes or pintles you call them can they be bought in bronze instead of stainless??
I have heard different stories on this one that from like 1972 and newer the boats may have had less headroom that the normal headroom was about 6'2" on the older boats can yall clear this up for me?? I had a chance to go aboard a alberg 30 near me but can't remember the year and it had to have at least 6'2" headroom since i'm about 6'1". I do remember this boat having a freezer/refrigerator that opened from the top instead of the side like some of the older ones may have had. This is very important that I can at least stand up in it now i know towards the v-berth I had to duck my head and thats fine. I don't plan on standing when using the head anyways. As one person told me "real men sit to pee" on a sailboat hahaha.
Happy New YearsChris
