I have been reading Don Casey's book, Good Old Boat, and in it he describes the process of painting a boat's interior with alkyd enamel "house paint." Despite thorough details, he makes no mention of the use of a primer. Does anyone know why this is? Is it really prudent to carefully do all of the prep work but not prime? Thanks in advance, Brennan
