[Public-List] Alberg 30 FOR SALE ..............Osprey on mast head

I didn't realize that Osprey's migrate. One has taken to perching at dusk on my Typhoon mast here in Ft. Myers, FL.  The first time I noticed I was actually onboard doing some work. First it made off with my mast head fly and then demolished the wire bracket. Each evening it appears to sit and watch or just eat it's dinner. I spray it with a water hose but just looks down at me with an annoyed look and most of the time remains in place. I can work on board for some time and this doesn't seem to bother this Osprey. They are quite big and I assume that this one weighs 15 pounds or more. Of course crap is everywhere along with fish vertebrae. Any ideas on how to discourage the perching activity?

Winter must be finished - at least on the Chesapeake Bay.  Yesterday we
saw our mast perching Osprey perched on the mast.  It is so good to see
his/her return.  Poop and fish guts on the deck and all.
