[Public-List] Sail attachment at tack on roller reefing gooseneck

Hello 

I have the old roller reefing arrangement on #124, which has been converted to 
jiffy reefing.   For those who have a similar arrangement, where do you tack on 
your mainsail?  There is the hook at the gooseneck typically used for reefing, 
*or* 4 inches aft of that, there is the D shackle that I'm probably supposed to 
use.  The problem with using the shackle is that it gives a weird shape to the 
sail, and gives me little to no room for an outhaul on a sail that is 14.25 '.   


Any thoughts?
