I use shore power, since I'm at my pier most of the time. I made a 
mistake when I installed it. I do like it to starboard of the compass 
well (moved the compass since it's too close to the engine there) but 
where I put it conflicts with a with the opening of a Bomar hatch over 
the engine that was put in when the diesel was installed. Wherever you 
put it, be very certain it does not conflict with anything else.
