Mike G,

I am interested in how you fitted LED lamps into the original light fixtures.  What was your procedure and where there any tricks involved? What brand LED's did you install?  Thank you.

The contact assembly should just push out-basically with an ice pick from in
the cabin. New ones are available, but the heavy chrome over brass fitting
is not. They are Perko . The replacements I have seen are cheap looking
stamped SS.
I was interested in lower electrical draw, and LED bulbs would not fit into
the space available, hence the hardwired pigtail option.
I guess you should also be aware the side mounted lights do not comply with
visibility requirements, especially when power sailing. The relatively
higher bow, and the foresail, blocks visibility.
