[Public-List] Nav light replacement

Hi George,

We also are becoming an all LED boat (only one I don't plan to replace
is the steaming light...no need, if motoring, there's amps to spare).

I replaced my navigation lights with LEDs. I got the Lopolight Combo
light for the bow. I had a small flat plate welded to the "nose" of the
bow pulpit, and mounted the LopoLight there.

You can see a picture with the pulpit off the boat:

I have not mounted the stern light yet, but it's a vertical mount LED
and will be mounted to one of the stern rail stanchions. It does not
have to be on the centerline so long as it meets visibility
requirements. For that matter, I COULD mount the light I have on the
rail itself.

I removed the factory installed fixtures and glassed over the holes.

Fair Winds,

John

I have no idea where the stern light mounts ... it is one of the few mysteries I could not figure out when putting her back together. I have a new LED anchor light with automatic light sensor that turns it off during daylight hours.
