[Public-List] Help with Head fitting

Chris,

I went with #3 for a few reasons:

First off, the through hull that was in place (which was positioned like yours) wasn't one I trusted, so I knew I was going to do *something* (Side note: I replaced all the through-hulls/seacocks on the boat, and every one of them had something that made me think "glad I chose to do this").

Since I knew I was putting in a new setup, I sat back to consider my options.  I decided to move the valve for two reasons.  One, it was "downstream" of the discharge and two, it was kind of close to the passageway (IIRC it actually stuck out slightly into the passageway).  I think there might have been some awkward bends leading to the toilet inlet as well, IIRC.

I got the new seacock (3/4") and tested out my idea (to make sure the handle would have room, hoses would fit, etc.) and then put it in the forward/outboard "corner" of the head compartment.  In other words, if you were standing in front of the toilet looking at it, the valve would be behind (outboard) and to the right of it (forward).

As a side note: I actually filled in the discharge through-hull hole after I removed the discharge through-hull and gate valve.  If I had put it back in, I think I was going to move it aft slightly for better positioning vis-a-vis the inlet seacock.  I'm fuzzy on this only because I decided to leave the discharge filled in since the boat was going to be used on the Chesapeake, with the thought that if I decided to head off into the yonder it would be easy to then add a new discharge seacock.  It may not be necessary to move the discharge seacock in order to have the inlet one where I put it - just something to check.
