We replaced ours many years ago with plexi. Darkened stuff but we can
still see out. I bought a section the exact size of the hatch, then
cut it in half but on a bevel pointing down at the outside so that any
water runs out. Easy stuff to work with, it cuts with an ordinary
table saw and is easy to drill for padlock fittings.
Good luck.
