[Public-List] new rudder shoes

What I have is a brand new shoe that has never been installed on a boat. I
do not have a mold for the shoe, but that is why this new shoe has been
preserved. The Wooded Boat school in Maine is having a workshop this weekend
on bronze casting. Thanks to the efforts of Brooke Harwood (owner of Alberg
#8) my shoe may be used as the project for the workshop. What I hope to get
out of this is a mold. Once I get the mold and my shoe back, I’ll get in
touch with everyone.

Gudgeons are a different story...there are several variations as the boats
evolved over the years. Find more info at
http://alberg30.org/maintenance/Steering/Gudgeons.

Yep, I could use a new pair of grudgeons also. Maybe a perfect time to
order in quantity.

Regarding the new rudder shoes Mike Lehman talked about, keep us posted on
that, probably some of us in the market for a new one, me included.
