Completed the circumnavigation of Manitoulin Island.  Stops en route included Alpena, MI; Presque Isle, MI; Scammon Cove on Drummond Island, MI; Meldrum, ON; Gore Bay, ON; Heywood Island, ON; and Tobermory, ON.  My brother and I made the long haul south from Tobermory to Port Huron/Detroit.  This was the best sailing of the trip...strong west winds...seas of four to six feet...we traveled about 125 miles without once changing tack for 28 hours.  

I need an entire summer just to explore the North Channel.

 From the Great Lakes Alberg Association, David Tessier is in Lion's 
Head and Peter Terry is at Perry Sound. They and Sam Malcolmson usually 
get to the North Channel at least once in the summer.
