[Public-List] Mast fore-aft position

Hey everyone,

Is there any consensus on placement of the mast step on older boats? Last
year I moved the step all the way forward to see what it felt like.
Wondering if there would be less weather helm & easier to balance the boat.
Before that I had the step in the middle of the range. I can't say I
noticed a difference between the two.

What does everyone else do? Will the boat point higher to any noticeable
degree by moving it all the way back? How much weatherhelm is there all the
way back?

Just curious. About to launch the boat this week and now's the time to move
it to a position for the season.
