[Public-List] Glassed in coamings?

James Baldwin makes new A30 cockpit coamings out of teak, but he's in Georgia.
They look really nice, and make you appreciate how thick they are supposed to be. Mine are much thinner too now.
Not sure what he charges, but I've seen them on two A30s recently, a non-liner and a liner model, though I don't think the coamings changed.
I would not use plywood. Maybe if you sink hardware in solid epoxy it would be OK.
I have used Trex (synthetic wood) and that actually doesn't look so bad in some applications, and would be better than plywood, but I am not sure they make it in sufficient size/thickness to attempt to make inexpensive cockpit coamings.
