[Public-List] stubborn bolt

The bolt, if it is really stubborn, will break off. Then you need
a really sharp drill bit, a center punch, and a mis-named tool called an
"E-Z-Out," which has a left hand thread to it. You drill the appropriate
diameter hole in the broken bolt, tap the E-Z-Out into it and twist with
a wrench. Supposedly the E-Z-out will screw into the bolt and because of
its left hand thread, will screw the bolt out.

(Don't ask me what to do to a broken bolt with a left-hand thread)

This is a common thing to do to an exhaust manifold bolt in an
engine block.

Of course the E-Z-out often breaks, leaving you with a hardened "thing"
sticking in the recalcitrant bolt ...
