[Public-List] Bottom paint

In the Great Lakes VC17M is popular and I use 2 quarts thinned and it covers
sufficiently every two years. VC is very thin and I think a lot depends on the
product used as to how much is used. 4-5 gals sounds like an awful lot of
product.

I used almost a gallon of ablative paint and with two coats around the waterline
and most likely laid it on pretty thick in most places.

I need to get my Bottom done later this year and one of the yards that I am
considering said it would take between 4 and 5 Gallons. That seems high to
me, it has been a few years, but would 2 gallons not be more correct.
