I just did mine yesterday - 1 gallon was plenty. Used a 1/4" nap roller and 
was able to get 2 coats.

I need to get my Bottom done later this year and one of the yards that I am
considering said it would take between 4 and 5 Gallons. That seems high to
me, it has been a few years, but would 2 gallons not be more correct.
