[Public-List] Placement of Bow Chocks

Ayla has only one bow chock. It looks original and is about 4' aft from the bow on the starboard side. I was going to add a set about a foot aft of the bow and got to thinking there is probably a reason for the placement of the original.  Does anyone know? It does put about a foot aft of the start of the waterline. It would seem moving it aft as it is would lessen the jerks from a rocking boat.
