I'm not a huge fan of those outside of exhaust systems.  They seem to fail due to corrosion more easily, and they have a much narrower range of motion.  Ymmv as always, but almost all that I  remove get replaced due to signs of corrosion and most customer's boats are pretty new.  Often it's the spot welds that I find corroded and weak.  I'm not sure I'd trust cheap t clamps or cheap worm clamps, but good quality non perforated worm clamps in stainless work for me well.

Hello all,

With the current discussion of using two clamps on each end anywhere you are clamping hose I thought that I would bring up my decision to switch over to T-bolt clamps.

Worm gear clamps can twist off the gear slots and come loose, especially if over tightened. During my refit I plan to switch over to the T-bolt type of clamp. Visit www.siliconeintakes.com for further information. These clamps don't have to cost you significantly more than the more traditional SS worm gear type clamps. I believe that they are far superior. You must shop around on-line to get a good price. For instance the clamp at the above site sells for $2.60 each for 1-1/2" size. The same size clamp at another web site sells for $11.65 each.

Actually, after having worm gear  type clamps come loose on my F-250 cooling hoses I plan to order T-bolts clamps for that application as well. Just an idea to pass along.
