Thanks Randy - I did that and found no change, so I reckon the issue isn't
air venting.

I'm going to bypass the selector valve next weekend and see if that resolves
the issue.  I'll report what comes of that.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.  They've confirmed that I'm hitting
all the bases with my testing.

I'm taking my time dealing with this because in the mean time, the engine
runs fine on tank 1, and we're not planning any long trips before haul out
this year.
