Even out of the plane it can get you. Dremel more likely for sudden failure than angle grinder in my experience. 
 Good quality thin cutting disk is the same thickness as dremel disk almost but far faster and more accurate.  Awful if you get yourself with it though.

Dremel blades can fly apart, too. Never get in the plane of the blade.
