Yes, it does appear to be a late/early difference - I've seen pictures that people have posted of the earlier boats with the single board/edge piece - rather different from my boat with a molded in lip and a drain area to prevent water getting into the lockers.

This appears to be another early vs late difference. My boat, # 275, has solid wooden seats, made of a single board with edge pieces fastened on. (No fiberglass with wooden inserts)

Am I right?
