[Public-List] Stern squat.

Hi -

Hansen and Alberg collaborated on the design at the request of the Canadian
Folkboat Association based in Toronto, who wanted a larger boat than the
Folkboat. However, the part about the engine is partly true; the boat was
designed for an engine, but the Grey Marine and Atomic IV is somewhat larger
and heavier than Alberg might have had in mind. The ballast story is true;
iron is much cheaper and that's why we got it. Folkboats use iron, and Kurt
was comfortable with it.
