You are a brave person tendering that question lol.
1st thing that leaps to mind: you are sure 5/16 BBB chain matches the
gypsy heads on your new purchases?
2nd thing: 200' 5/16 is a lot of weight for the poor old Albergs 21'
waterline. You are planning on anchoring in a lot of coral? Just for
starters, that combination has become poo-poo, environmentally.
I'm using about a 25lb. Danforth w/18' of 5/16 (I think). A bow roller
is essential, mounted on a bow pulpet of some kind preferable (I'm still
working on that part of Checkmate). Some kind of pressure washer for the
chain will be needed. It's just barely OK swishing my 18' around before
coming on deck. Those links pick up a lot of bottom goop. Cooties will
end up in the bottom of your chain locker quickly.
If your heart is set on the chain, I think my Dad has what you are
looking for, well galvinized looks hardly used (and I don't think it
was) that is looking for a good home. Are you in the Annapolis area?
I think I need to put together a flotsam and jetsom list of boat thingys
that have accumulated over the years...
