[Public-List] Caulk suggestions?

I now have a Cal 36  vs. an Alberg but I was hoping you could help me with a
fairly simple question.

I have just noticed that the caulk around my tiller in the bottom of my
cockpit is leaking and water is getting down into the sail locker below. I
plan on digging out the old caulk, but I was wondering what you would
recommend to put in new? 4200, exterior cauld from Home Depot (probably not)
or what?
I would appreciate finding out what has worked well for you.
