The "bottom" of the bilge under the engine is no longer present and I can see a piece of wood and a hole that goes ~6" deeper that I cannot get by bilge pump into. I know there was some discussion of this awhile back, but has anyone found a satisfactory solution of filling the bottom of the bilge so a smooth level surface can be obtained and sealed. How serious of an issue is it for to remain in its current state in which water is always present? Unfortunately removing the engine to do this repair is not a realistic option for me. I am a pre-liner boat.

Thank you,
Dwayne Back
94 - Orion
