[Public-List] Caulk suggestions?

Jock,
For an alternative to the caulks in a tube, I use dolphinite for everything. Originally a wood bedding compound, it is I think an oil based paste that beds plastic, any metal fitting, or wood to FG. Applies with a putty knife. big advantages are it cleans up VERY easily with thinner and a rag, stays soft and plyable in the can for ever, is waterproof and flexable as a bedding compound for decades, needs no set up time to cure, and is super easy to scrape up and replace if you need to open up whatever has been previously bedded. Also it is a fungicide, so mold will not grow on/around it. I have gradually eliminated all 5XXX/4XXX tube caulking compounds on Dolce in favor of this stuff, and never have a leaking seal, including my cabin side windows. A quart can will last forever for incidental small jobs. Not cheap to buy, but no more expensive than equivalent amount of 5200, but with super long shelf life.
