[Public-List] holding tank vent

This reminds me of a funny story. A couple in Florida bought a brand new
boat. After several months they went back to the broker and complained that
of a foul smell in the boat. The broker visited the boat and asked then how
often they pumped out the holding tank. They replied that they have never
had to empty and were very pleased with the extra large capacity of the tank
because it never seemed to fill up. As it turned out the vent line for the
holding tank was led up into the mast all the way to the spreaders. When
they removed the mast to investigate the foul smell the mast was full of
shit that was overflowing the vent line.

On MAHSEER #380 the tank vented into the base of the mast this kept out
all water intrusion and the odor exited at the mast top, and for you smart
a#$@$ people it also was a secondary holding tank.
