[Public-List] Mast beam

I am somewhat reluctant to open this can of worms but I do need some guidance.

I had SallyB in the yard a few month ago to get a new rigging and get the mast rewired. During that process we discovered that there is water in the mast beam, most likely from old deck fittings for the mast lights.
When the yard stepped the mast they put too much tension on the standing rigging so that the hanging locker door was jammed and the door to the head would not operate. I have since taken some of the tension of the rigging and the doors work, but not well.

I know that I have a problem and would like to take a systematic, step by step approach to fixing it.
I would love to hear from the group about what to do first.
