Welcome Paul

We use a Newport solid fuel cabin heater mounted to the starboard bulkhead in the main cabin. We burn wood, charcoal, and cut up fireplace logs. The cabin doesn't get super warm, but it makes it comfortable and cozy.

Subject: [Public-List] New Alberg 30

Hello,

My wife and I are about to become the proud owners of a 1968 Alberg 30. We currently have a Rhodes Ranger- pretty similar boat, but a little smaller that I am going to give up. The Alberg is pretty ready to go it the water. The Rhodes is a couple of months off. The boat we are buying is in Rockport Maine, where it will stay, and will be moored in Owls Head, not far south from Rockport. The boat it the Heron, from Spruce Head, and appears to be in quite nice shape. We hope to sail it for a couple of weeks this September before we have to put it up.

Question. Has anyone gotten a trailer for one of these boats? It would be nice to hear about that.

Also. Cabin heat. I am thinking of putting in a wood stove. It gets chilly up here at night. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Paul Murray
